Welcome to the 6th Annual 2020 CHHD Research Day Child Health and Human development Research Day is organized to provide the program members and guests to learn about the research in the program, reinforce and initiate collaborations. Register HERE Overview To adapt our Research day to the current health crisis due to covid-19, this event will be held online as safety and health of our members is our priority. Oral presentation will be held on Zoom. Poster presentation will be held on the Fourwaves virtual poster platform which allows poster sessions to be interactive. You'll be able to roam poster to poster, see which posters have ongoing conversations and join them and ask your questions live to the presenter in a video conversation. Up to 8 persons will be able to join the presenter for a virtual video discussion! All CHHD members from the CTB and CORE are invited to participate in this event! CHHD Trainees will be put forward as we want this event to be an opportunity for you to show your results to your peers, receive feedback on your work and most of all, improve your communication skills which is primordial for any future researchers. This Research day will also allow  everyone to listen to oral presentations from a few of our invited Principal Investigators, and an Invited Speaker! Stay tuned as the final program (~9am-5pm) will be available on this website by October 28th. We are looking forward to see you at this first virtual CHHD research day!

Attention all CHHD Trainees! The CHHD Trainee Committee is now recruiting new members to be a part of our fun and engaging team. The committee are looking for members to be a part of either administration, finance, communications or as CORE representatives. The CHHD trainee committee are led by students in the programs that organize social events aimed at bringing trainees together. If interested, please email us at chhdrimuhc@gmail.com

CHHD Green Labs Initiative - Glove Recycling program. We are excited to announce that the glove recycling program has launched! Large boxes have been placed in the program that can be filled with used gloves instead of being thrown out. To make full use of this initiate below are a few tips: 1) Keep a small cardboard box in your lab to collect the gloves together instead of depositing one at a time. 2) If you are not sure about the cleanliness of the glove, you can them spray with ethanol As we move further into the fall, there will be a few more initiatives to be announced! The CHHD Green Labs Initiative was possible due to the funding from SPF, but we are looking at other ways of getting funding!
